Receiving Your Shipment

IMPORTANT! Failure to note damage or loss on the bill of lading (BOL) and/or failure to report concealed damage within 48 hours of receipt frees the carrier of ALL responsibility. Neither the equipment manufacturer nor Modern Store Equipment will be obligated to make repairs or replacements if damage isn't noted or reported as follows.
Before you sign the BOL to release the driver do the following:
1. Count the pieces you have and compare with the quantity on the BOL. These should match. If there is anything missing, note this on the BOL before signing.
2. Look for damage to the packaging. If there is any, determine if it is just the packaging or has affected the items inside. This should be noted on the BOL prior to signing.
3. Take Photos of any damage that is noted.
4. Unpack your shipment immediately, even if you do not intend to begin your installation or set up. Check over carefully for hidden damage. YOU HAVE 48 HOURS FROM THE TIME OF DELIVERY TO REPORT CONCEALED DAMAGE TO US! This is damage that was not apparent when delivered!
5. If you find damage, take photos of it.
6. Retain all packaging if you find anything at all damaged.
